Saasu can be used generically in several different industry segments. Accounting systems require a Chart of Accounts suited to your business model. To tailor it for your type of business, we recommend you use some of these resources as a reference to get started quickly in your industry. This is the heart of how your financial record keeping works. Think of it as the framework (or filing system labels) for how you want to classify the information. It is made up of transaction accounts and bank accounts.
You can choose a sample Chart of Accounts for your industry and upload it into Saasu. To do this:
- Click one of the files below that suits your industry.
(contact service@saasu.comif you need one that isn’t listed): - Import your new Chart of Accounts by selecting View > Import and Export > Import Other data (chart of accounts).
The files above are in CSV (comma separated file) format, so ensure you select that format on the import screen. You can also view or edit the files in most normal spreadsheet programs but that is not necessary. Just upload the file to Saasu and start entering transactions. If required, you can later fine tune the information to your liking by adding more information or changing the existing information via the Accounts link in the View menu.
